Get a free API key →

With API key (recommended): Your photo is sent to Google Cloud Vision, which uses AI to read text on curved, reflective and small-print labels with high accuracy. The image is processed and immediately discarded. Google does not store it.

Without API key: Uses Tesseract.js, which runs locally in your browser. It handles flat, well-lit text but struggles with the curved and glossy labels found on real products.

  1. Go to Google Cloud Console
  2. Create a project (or use existing)
  3. Enable "Cloud Vision API" in API Library
  4. Go to Credentials → Create API Key
  5. Paste the key above
